Indian Riders Summer Rally - Hook Norton 2014

This was the first Indian rally to be held at Hook Norton and the first rally we had ever arranged so didn't know quite what to expect.  I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived on a warm 4th July to see some club members old and new already there.
We pitched our tents in the sun and got down to socialising. The landlord (Alex) was very accommodating and had very kindly put up a marquee and also said we could have a fire. We had a good evening in the pub from what I can remember drinking and chatting.
Woke up Saturday morning sadly to rain. Not many members were keen to go on the ride out but eventually we got a few together and set out first to Chipping Norton, Burford.  Then on to Bibury, a lovely little picturesque village.  To top it all, the sun came out!  From there we went onto a Cotswold countryside collection, a farming museum.  Then it was on to Bourton On The Water where we met up with rest of the club.  We parked in the motor museum for free and had an enjoyable visit.  After our busy day we then rode back to the site.
In the evening a raffle was held by Fred followed by an evening of music, chatting and more drinking round the camp fire.
Next year, hopefully, we want to arrange a visit to Hook Norton Brewery amongst other things.  We would need to book this tour early as it is very popular so would need to know numbers.
A big thanks to Nick, Al, Dan and Harve for all their help.
